Ilmajoki Music Festival is arranged since year 1975. The production consists of fantastic Finnish opera and concert experiences in Southern Ostrobothnia at the edge of the Kyro River cultural landscape. In June 2023 the festival gives the Opera “Armi”, a strong women portrait of Armi Ratia, who founded the famous brand Marimekko. Mezzosoprano Lilli Paasikivi as Armi. The composer is Eeva Kontu, libretto and direction Heta Maanperä.
